1-2-3-4 Reasoning Strategy for SSC exam
The 1-2-3-4 Strategy is Simple and powerful technique designed to save time during competitive exams. I personally applied this method in the SSC CHSL 2024 exam and was able to solve the complete Reasoning section in just 10-12 minutes with 100% accuracy. This is a self-made strategy that can be a game changer for aspirants who want to score full marks.
Purpose of 1-2-3-4 strategy:- Time-saving: Helps solve questions faster.
- Accuracy: Reduces confusion and second- guessing
- Focus: Keep your mind organized during eliminaition.
Where to use this strategy:
- Figure based questions: like odd one out, mirror images, embedded figure and all topics that has options.
- Option elimination questions: coding decoding, analogy, classification
- Any MCQ where 1-2 options can be ruled out quickly.
How to Use the 1-2-3-4 Strategy
1. Write down the numbers just 1 2 3 4 or a b c d (options) on rough sheet.
2. As you read question eliminate options one by one.
3. For each eliminated option, strike off its number on your sheet.
4. Continue until only one number remains -that is your answer!
Example:
If you eliminate options 2 and 4, strike them off. Now you are left with 1 and 3 , If you eliminate 3 next, your final answer is option 1.
My real exam experience:
I used this method in SSC CHSL 2024 and completed the Reasoning section in just 10-12 minutes. It helped me stay focussed, avoid silly mistakes, and maintain high accuracy.
